Teaching Principles and Methods
The innovative teaching approach is built upon the conceptualization of the system architecture as the series of decision-making activities. In this capacity, the System Architect role is to enable the Model-Based System Architecting through the implementation of systems engineering principles, methods and tools backed up by the MBSE. The ultimate goal is to support human/machine with a systems thinking approach to the new product development and with the selection of the most promising concepts through the reliable quantifiable methods.
The high-level reasoning process is depicted in the Figure below. The detailed logic could be found in the publication (accepted in 2021 and published in 2022) at the MIT System Architecture Lab: http://systemarchitect.mit.edu/docs/menshenin21a.pdf
